Blindquip South Africa

If you have seen a Blindquip sticker on a blind in a home, restaurant or lodge and wondered where it came from, on the Garden Route the answer is Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings.

Blindquip is Hunter Douglas’s South African brand for custom-manufactured window blinds. Hunter Douglas operates in over 100 countries; Blindquip products are manufactured locally using Hunter Douglas components and quality systems. The brand covers roller blinds, aluminium venetians, synthetic (plaswood) venetians, honeycomb cellular shades (the Duette range), vertical blinds and double roller zebra blinds. Unlike imported alternatives they are made to order in South African facilities with shorter lead times and local warranty support, cut to the millimetre for your window.

The local Blindquip agent since the company opened in 2010: every Blindquip blind installed on the Garden Route carries the measurement guarantee and Hunter Douglas manufacturing standards behind it. Outside the Garden Route the same range ships from the online shop with instant pricing and delivery anywhere in South Africa.

Roller blinds

Blockout, sheer and translucent fabrics, UV-stabilised for South African conditions. Chain, spring or Somfy motorised operation. Widths up to 3 metres without a centre join.

Aluminium venetian blinds

25mm or 50mm slats in a full colour range. Moisture-resistant for kitchens and bathrooms; tilt control for light and privacy.

Synthetic venetian blinds (plaswood)

The timber look without warping, cracking or fading in humidity or direct sun. Ideal for coastal rooms.

Honeycomb blinds (Duette)

Cellular pockets trap air for thermal insulation. Sheer, translucent and blockout; top-down bottom-up operation. The most energy-efficient blind type.

Vertical blinds

For wide sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling glass. Fabric louvres rotate for light control and stack to one side for access.
