Blindquip Knysna

Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings is the longest-standing Blindquip and Hunter Douglas agent in Knysna, supplying and installing Blindquip roller, venetian, honeycomb and vertical blinds since 2010.

Duncan measures and specifies on site, the blinds are made to those measurements, and the installation team fits. Knysna’s lagoon microclimate brings humidity and salt air that affect fabric and component selection; Blindquip’s Hunter Douglas manufacturing provides components and UV-stabilised fabrics suited to it. Specification depends on window dimensions, room function, humidity exposure and mounting surface, which is why every job starts with a site assessment.

Seen a Blindquip sticker on a blind in a Knysna home, restaurant or lodge? That is our work. From Thesen Island apartments to Leisure Isle homes, Pezula Estate lodges to Brenton beach cottages, the Blindquip blinds across Knysna were measured, specified and installed by Duncan and his team. Every blind is custom manufactured to the window in South Africa: no off-the-shelf sizing, no cutting down to fit.

Roller blinds

Blockout, sunscreen and sheer fabrics, UV-stabilised. Dual roller systems filter daytime light and give full blockout at night. UV-stabilised for Knysna’s lagoon light. Shop roller blinds.

Aluminium and synthetic venetians

Moisture resistant for kitchens and bathrooms; plaswood (synthetic) venetians resist humidity without warping. Shop venetians.

Honeycomb blinds (Duette)

Cellular insulation against heat and cold through large windows. Top-down bottom-up keeps the view. Keeps the lagoon view while blocking lower sightlines. Shop honeycomb blinds.

Vertical blinds

For wide sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling glass. Fabric louvres rotate for light control.

Motorisation

All Blindquip products can be motorised with Somfy automation for app control, scheduling and sensor-driven operation.
