Not every Plettenberg Bay property needs the same grade. The difference between a sheltered plot in Goose Valley and a beachfront unit on Beacon Isle is significant in terms of salt exposure and wind load. We specify accordingly.
Beacon Isle, Robberg beachfront, Keurbooms lagoon mouth, Lookout Beach surrounds, and any property within direct line of the ocean. These areas receive constant salt-laden air driven by the prevailing south-easter. The premium aluminium variant with enhanced corrosion protection is the only responsible specification.
Goose Valley, Brackenridge, Piesang Valley, The Dunes, Signal Hill, Plettenberg Manor, and Central Plett. These areas have humidity and occasional salt carry but less direct spray than the beachfront. Standard powder-coated aluminium handles these conditions well. Stainless hardware is included on all installations regardless of location.
