Not every Knysna property needs the same grade. The difference between a forest-facing home in Rheenendal and a lagoon-front plot on Leisure Isle is significant in terms of salt exposure and humidity. We specify accordingly.
Thesen Island, Leisure Isle, the Heads, Brenton-on-Sea, Brenton-on-Lake, and any property within direct line of the lagoon or ocean. These areas receive constant salt-laden air. The premium aluminium variant with enhanced corrosion protection is the only responsible specification. Standard shutters will perform, but not for as long.
Knysna Heights, Simola, Pezula, Fernwood, Old Place, Knysna CBD, Rheenendal, and Belvidere. These areas have humidity from forest and lagoon proximity but less direct salt spray.
