What are Corner Star security screens?

  1. A physical barrier of marine-grade SS316 stainless steel mesh in an aluminium frame that keeps intruders, insects and wildlife out while keeping the view and the airflow
  2. Made by Corner Star, Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings’ screen supplier for the full range: insect, fly and security, with its own cornering system
  3. Fixed, hinged and sliding configurations for windows, doors, patio sliders and stacker openings
  4. Built for the coast: powder-coated aluminium and stainless mesh that shrug off salt air, sun and wind
  5. Measured and fitted across the Garden Route by the Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings team, a Corner Star partner for ten years

01

What Corner Star security screens are

Not burglar bars. A high-strength stainless mesh in a slim aluminium frame, so the window looks open and stays shut.

Security

Interlocking panels, 3-point locks and anti-lift design form a barrier an intruder cannot push through.

Air and view

The mesh is open enough to see through and breathe through. Doors stay open on summer evenings.

Insects and wildlife

The same barrier keeps flies, mosquitoes and, in the pet and baboon-resistant option, larger visitors out.

04   Installation

Measured on site. Fitted in a day, usually.

Every opening on the Garden Route is measured by Duncan so the frame sits flush and doors still glide. Screens are built to those sizes and fitted by the installation team, with locks and tracks tested before the crew leaves. Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, George, Sedgefield and Wilderness.

05

Security screen colour and finish

Powder-coated frames in a range of finishes to match the building: black and charcoal for modern homes, white and neutrals for coastal and traditional. Black mesh disappears against the view.

06

Security screen care

Little, and regular.

Monthly on the coast

Rinse mesh and frame with fresh water to remove salt.

Seasonally

Check locks, hinges and tracks; a light silicone spray on moving parts.

Never

Abrasive cleaners or pressure washers on the mesh or the powder coat.
