Step 1: Design consultation. Duncan or a team member visits your home, measures every window and opening, discusses your priorities (privacy, light, weather protection, aesthetics), and recommends specific products for each location. No charge, no obligation.
Step 2: Detailed quote. You receive a written quote within 48 hours of the visit. Every item is listed with product specifications, dimensions, colour, and price. No hidden costs, no surprises at installation.
Step 3: Manufacturing. Awnings are built at the Custom Blinds workshop in Knysna and the Custom Lifestyle Shutters range is manufactured in Cape Town. Indoor blinds are manufactured to your specifications by our supply partners (Somfy, Hunter Douglas, Coulisse). Lead times vary by product, typically 2 to 4 weeks.
Step 4: Professional installation. Duncan measures and quotes. Our installation team fits. Every bracket, every fixing, every adjustment is done on site. We test every mechanism before we leave. If anything needs attention after installation, one call to Duncan resolves it.
