Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy explains how returns, refunds, and cancellations are handled for products purchased through our online shop and services supplied by our business.


1. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All purchases made via shop.customblinds.co.za
  • Custom-made and made-to-measure products supplied by customblinds.co.za

This policy does not limit your statutory rights under South African consumer law.


2. Custom-Made Products

Most products supplied by Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings™ are custom manufactured to your specifications, including measurements, fabric choice, colour, finish, and configuration.

Once production has begun, custom-made products are not eligible for return or refund due to change of mind.

This is standard industry practice and is permitted under the Consumer Protection Act for custom goods.


3. Standard (Non-Custom) Products

If a product is confirmed to be a standard, non-custom item, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unused and uninstalled
  • The item is in its original condition and packaging
  • Proof of purchase is supplied

Installed, altered, or damaged items are not eligible for return.


4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

All products must be inspected on delivery.

If an item is:

  • Damaged in transit
  • Defective
  • Incorrectly supplied

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Email accounts@customblinds.co.za with:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photographic evidence

Where confirmed, we will arrange repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.


5. Return Process (Approved Returns Only)

  1. Email accounts@customblinds.co.za to request authorisation
  2. Include your order number and reason for return
  3. Wait for written return approval
  4. Return the item to the address provided

Returns without prior approval will not be accepted.

6. Refunds

Once an approved return is received and inspected:

  • You will be notified of approval or rejection
  • Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.


7. Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
  • Original delivery fees are not refundable
  • Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are returned at our cost

8. International Orders

International orders follow the same return conditions.

Return shipping, customs charges, and duties remain the responsibility of the customer.


9. Warranty

Some products may be covered under a manufacturer or workmanship warranty.

Warranty claims are handled separately from returns.
