Why We Don’t Have a Showroom

Your home is the only place where design decisions truly make sense. Light, colour, privacy, heat, humidity, airflow, furniture placement and window orientation are different in every house. A showroom simply cannot replicate those real-world conditions. This is why we bring the consultation to you.

Our in-home consultation model has been refined over 15 years across the Garden Route. It gives you better design outcomes, more accurate quoting and far fewer installation mistakes. And when you want quick answers before or after your appointment, you can speak to Melvin, our AI assistant, who can help you compare products, understand options or visualise blinds in your space.

What Happens During Your Consultation?

We Listen First

Every family, every space and every requirement is different. Our job is to understand the function of each room, how you live in it, and what problems you need solved. Comfort, privacy, glare control, heat balance, child safety and budgets are considered before we recommend anything.

We Take the Time

This is not a rushed process. We stay as long as needed to measure accurately, compare samples, advise on fabrics, explain hardware differences and discuss practical trade-offs. You have our full attention. No store queues. No interruptions.

We Provide a Professional, Line-Itemed Quote

Once we understand your needs, we prepare a detailed quote with exact product specifications, fabric names, louvre sizes, mechanisms, installation notes and lead times. As the largest retailer and installer in the Garden Route region, we offer full ranges across blinds, shutters and awnings with precise pricing.

Simola Studio: By Appointment Only

If an in-home consultation is not possible, you are welcome to meet us at our private Simola Golf Estate studio. The studio carries full samples, colour decks and hardware displays. It’s quiet, private and perfect for reviewing options. The view is incredible and the coffee is strong.

Why a Showroom Would Hurt, Not Help

  • Showroom lighting misleads fabric colour and opacity.
  • Wind, humidity and coastal salt cannot be simulated indoors.
  • Measurements must be done on-site anyway.
  • Every home’s architecture changes the correct solution.
  • It adds costs without adding value for clients.

Better Results. Better Fit. Fewer Mistakes.

A showroom can show you what products exist. Your home shows you what products you actually need. Our process eliminates guesswork and ensures long-term performance, especially in the Garden Route’s unique climate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a showroom ever necessary?

Not for blinds, shutters or awnings. Accurate selection depends on real light, real measurements and real conditions inside your home.

Do you bring samples?

Yes. All fabrics, slats, colours, mechanisms and shutter panels are brought to your home for accurate matching.

What if I live outside the Garden Route?

We can arrange a virtual consult and then send samples via courier. Melvin can also guide you on product options ahead of time.

Can I visit the Simola Studio?

Yes, by appointment. It is a private sample studio, not a walk-in showroom.
