How To Measure Aluwood Blinds For Your Window
Aluwood venetian blinds are made to your exact measurements, so accurate sizing matters. You need two numbers: the width and the drop of the opening you are covering.
For a recess fit (blind sits inside the window reveal) measure the internal width at three points, top, middle and bottom, and use the smallest number. Measure the drop from the top of the recess to the sill. Do not deduct anything. Our factory allows for tolerances.
For a face fix (blind covers the frame from outside) add at least 50 mm each side to the window width and 50 mm above the frame for the headrail. This gives a clean overlap and better light block at the edges.
Not confident measuring? WhatsApp a photo of your window to Duncan on 079 523 5407 and he will guide you through it by video call at no charge.
