1. About Us

Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings® is a registered South African business based in Knysna, Garden Route, operating since 2010. We sell, manufacture, and install window blinds, shutters, awnings, shade ports, fly screens, and related products. We operate two websites: customblinds.co.za (information and consultation services) and shop.customblinds.co.za (online store).

2. Products and Orders

All blinds, shutters, and awnings sold through our online shop are manufactured to your specific measurements. Because products are made to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. Please double-check all measurements before placing your order. Our measuring guide provides step-by-step instructions.

3. Custom Fit Guarantee

We stand behind every order with our Custom Fit Guarantee. If your blind arrives and is too large for your window opening, we will trim it to fit at no additional charge. If your blind is too small due to a measuring error, we offer 5% off a replacement order. This guarantee applies to all made-to-measure products ordered through our online shop.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices on shop.customblinds.co.za are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT. We accept payment by credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard) via Yoco and instant EFT via Ozow. For Garden Route consultation orders (awnings, shutters, and larger projects), we require a 50% deposit with the balance due on completion of installation.

5. Delivery

We deliver nationwide via courier. Standard delivery is free on orders above R1,500. Orders are typically dispatched within 7–12 working days of confirmed payment. Delivery times after dispatch are 2–3 working days for the Garden Route and Western Cape, and 3–5 working days for the rest of South Africa. We will send you tracking information by SMS once your order ships.

6. Installation

Professional installation is available across the Garden Route (Mossel Bay to Nature’s Valley). Installation costs are quoted separately during your consultation. For online orders outside the Garden Route, all products ship with brackets, screws, and fitting instructions for self-installation.

7. Warranty

All products carry the manufacturer’s standard warranty. Somfy motors carry a 5-year warranty. Fabric and component warranties vary by product and are detailed on your invoice. Warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, misuse, or failure to follow care instructions.

8. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement if manufacturing has not commenced. Once manufacturing begins, orders cannot be cancelled as products are custom-made to your specifications. Please contact us at accounts@customblinds.co.za for cancellation requests.

9. Intellectual Property

Custom Blinds® is a registered trademark. All content on customblinds.co.za and shop.customblinds.co.za, including text, images, and design, is the property of Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings and may not be reproduced without written permission.

10. Privacy

We collect personal information (name, contact details, delivery address) solely to process your order and provide our services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

Custom Blinds Shutters & Awnings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Western Cape.
